Who are We?

CP-MIC was founded by Christine Parker in July 2024. Christine is a Medical Imaging Consultant specialising in helping companies implement medical imaging into preclinical and clinical studies to enable decision-making endpoints. She has a unique skill-set honed from 20+ years experience in the medical imaging field working within both Pharma and Academia. Her expertise covers all aspects of the drug discovery and development pipeline: From Lead Compound Selection, Preclinical to Clinical Translation, First Time in Human as well as Proof of Concept clinical studies.

Her strengths include a strong scientific and technical knowledge, effective communication, translational thinking and the ability to leverage cross-functional relationships to enable incorporation of imaging within clinical and preclinical programmes. Recent successes include leading the strategies, management and operationalisation of single country and global clinical studies incorporating decision-making and safety imaging endpoints - utilising harmonised, and at times, multi-modal image acquisition approaches to enable standardised data analysis and interpretation on a global scale.

Christine also has a strong track-record for developing and successfully bringing to the clinic novel molecular imaging agents, including the recently developed I2-Imidazoline PET radiotracer ([11C]BU99008) as a potential marker of astrocytosis in the CNS and the αVb6 PET radiotracer ([18F]FB-A20FMDV2) for fibrosis.

Christine gained her PhD in Psychopharmacology from Bristol University and has, through the course of her career, honed a deep understanding and proficiency regarding the integration of appropriate quantitative and qualitative medical imaging across the drug development pipeline. She has experience in multiple therapeutic areas including, Neurology, Psychiatry, Inflammation, Respiratory and Oncology.

In addition, Christine holds positions as a Senior Honorary Research Fellow in the Department of Medicine at Imperial College, London and as a Visiting Senior Lecturer in the Department of NeuroImaging at the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London.
